Moon 5: The 5 Bronze Stars

J. J. W. Mezun ☆ Season 5 ☆ 2017 August 8

Durian Desert. Moon 5: 5 Bronze Stars in the Pyramid.(Autumn & Edgar stand in front o’ the entrance to Pepperoncini Pyramid.) Autumn: “These bronze stars will likely be harder to find than the 1st moon we found here”.Edgar: “Well, a’least we already know where 2 o’ them are”.Edgar: “So I guess we have to wait out here for the door to open ’gain”.Autumn: “Yes…”.Autumn: “Though while we’re out here we should get that 1st star we already found”.(Autumn & Edgar hop up side o’ pyramid’s roof.)(Autumn grabs bronze star @ the top o’ the roof.)(Autumn & Edgar return to the ground.) Autumn: “We can come back out if there’s mo’ out here; but as few as there are, I doubt it”.(Autumn & Edgar go inside.) Autumn: “We’ll have to keep our eyes open for hidden spots we missed last time”.Autumn: “We’ve seen all the obvious areas & found only 1 star, so we know most are hidden”.(Autumn & Edgar hop up the stairs to the 2nd floor.)(Autumn stops @ the top o’ the stairs, focusing on something off-screen.)Autumn: “Aha”.(Autumn jumps to chain hanging from the ceiling.)(From the chain, Autumn leaps up into an alcove hiding a bronze star.)(Autumn leaps back down to Edgar.)Autumn: “Still, that 1 seemed easier to find than any later hiding places”.Autumn: “Or maybe we just weren’t paying ’nough attention”.Autumn: “All right, now we already know where this star is…”.(Autumn & Edgar stop & wait.)(Bloque falls right in front o’ them.)(After the Bloque rises ’gain, Autumn & Edgar run past it.)(Autumn jumps into corner & grabs bronze star.)(Autumn & Edgar jump on Bloque after it falls ’gain.)(They jump off Bloque onto 3rd floor.)(Autumn stares @ the left side o’ the hole.) Autumn: “Hmm…”.Autumn: “…”.Edgar: “¿You think there may be a star ’cross there?”.Autumn: “It’d seem logical; but I don’t see 1”.Autumn: “& yet, ¿wouldn’t it be repetitive to have 1 in a corner placed just like the last?”.Edgar: “We could always come back later, anyway”.Autumn: “True”.(Autumn & Edgar climb chain to 4th floor.) Edgar: “¿You think that caterpillar might have a star?”.Autumn: “Don’t see how we could get 1 out o’ it”.Autumn: “Remember, I kicked & threw it all o’er. I did ’bout everything gainst it already”.(Autumn kicks caterpillar out o’ their way as they make their way through the 4th floor.)(Autumn & Edgar climb up to the 5th floor.)(Autumn stops, staring up @ the ceiling in thought.)Autumn: “See, now this hall makes me suspicious; but I can’t see where the star could be”.(Edgar looks up.) Edgar: “¿You think any o’ these walls may be covering secret passages?”.Autumn: “¿What do you mean?”.Edgar: “I mean, ¿you think we may be able to walk through 1?”.Autumn: “Damn. I underestimated the level o’ obfuscation they’d do to stymie us”.Autumn: “Makes sense, though: it’d be easy for them to find & near impossible for us”.Autumn: “That’s why passwords work off obfuscation, after all”.Edgar: “¿So I guess we’ll just have to check every wall to be sure…?”.Autumn: “We can do that once we’ve checked the rest o’ the pyramid”.(Autumn & Edgar dig down the sand pit @ the end o’ the 5th floor, but stop @ a hole in the wall halfway down.) Autumn: “Ah, here’s an easy 1”.Edgar: “I’m surprised we missed it”.Autumn: “Probably ’cause we weren’t looking for it”.(Autumn grabs bronze star in alcove @ the end o’ the hole in the wall.)(A few minutes later…).(Autumn & Edgar @ bottom o’ sand pit.) Edgar: “Well, there’s ’nother moon”.Autumn: “We already got that, ¿remember? Look, it’s just a shadow, now”.Edgar: “¿So now what? ¿Do we check all o’ the walls for secret passageways?”.Autumn: “(Sigh.) I don’t know”.Autumn: “An irony ’bout these ventures is that in the heart o’ them, you get sick o’ so […]”.Autumn: “[…] much time spent in the area & want to hurry out; […]”Autumn: “[…] but later you’ll feel a nostalgia to return”.Edgar: “We could always return e’en without the possibility o’ getting treasure”.Autumn: “If my neuroses allowed me to do anything so unproductive…”.Autumn: “Anyway, we should split up to a’least make this ordeal a li’l mo’ tolerable”.(Autumn jumps up & checks every part o’ the ceiling.)Edgar: “Autumn, I think I found it”.Autumn: “¿Truly? ¿Where are you?”.Edgar: “I’m on the top floor”.(Autumn climbs back up to the top floor.) Autumn: “¿Where are y—?”.Autumn: “O, there you are”.(Autumn looks up to see Edgar halfway into the ceiling on the chain.) Autumn: “That makes sense”.Autumn: “Go ’head & continue upward”.Edgar: “’K”.(Autumn waits on the ground.)Edgar: “I see the star here”.Autumn: “Go ’head & get it”.Edgar: “’K”.(Edgar climbs back down.)Edgar: “¿Now what?”.Autumn: “Dunno. We have all 5 stars; let’s go outside & see if anything’s changed”.(As Autumn & Edgar walk back outside, they run into a raccoon.) Raccoon: “’Ello, Madame. ¿You looking to have a silver moon?”.Raccoon: “Legend says its magic gives one many terrain-changing patterns; […]”.Raccoon: “[…] & I hear it’s great fertilizer for ravenous plants”.Raccoon: “I’m selling 1 for only 5 bronze stars. ¿Interested?”.Autumn: “Yes”.Racoon: “Thankee, Madame”. (Throws moon to Autumn.)(The Raccoon departs.)
